Thanks to Jay for bringing over his last growler of this brewdoggy.
Poured into my Goose Island pint glass.
A hearty pour gives me two fingers of mocha head on top of a black body.
The nose is roasted malt and cocoa butter with hints of fresh coconut.
The taste follows the nose with more coconut and cocoa butter. Some roasted malts round it out.
Mouthfeel is slick with medium carbonation.
This is an interesting porter and the second one I've tried that was brewed with coconut. I wouldn't mind having this another time, but it's not wowing me at all. It's still tasty and very drinkable though.

Thanks to Jay for busting out this wacky growler. Put de lime in de co-co-nut...
Black with a spindly halo of lacing. Spotty bits of lace left in the glass. Nice retention for the duration of the glass. Fruity pear briefly in the aroma, some mild roast. A basic porter, not really getting much coconut. Thin, sweet, some very light coconut meat in the aftertaste. Not a sweet or toasted flavor really, just a mildly roasty porter. Light feel with low carbonation. Overall light and sessionable, quality stuff, but not worth seeking out again.
