got this at the brewery on 8/23/10
A- poured too dark for an ipa or maybe just in my opinion. like a really dark amber or a weird brown. light transparency. light to medium lacing. a slight white head that dissipated quickly.
S- didn't have much going on. just some light citrus hop scent.
T- for claiming this is a really hoppy beer i beg to differ. i think this has about as much hop blast as sierra nevada's pale ale. really malty for an ipa. some biscuity action maybe with some caramel 80 going on. some hop bitterness but not alot of hop flavor backing it up.
M- solid medium bodied. good carbonation.
D- one and i'm good.
Overall- this brew might be a great bridge to get people into the world of ipa's. with just alil hop action going it's not too crazy. seemed to me like this one is more of an american pale ale than a india pale ale.
