Had this in a bottle this past Friday at a tasting I was hosting. Whomever brought it must've gotten it at RBB since I didn't find it on the site anywhere (which is highly unusual). I'm not usually one for browns, but this was interesting. The aging gave it a sweeter-than-expected and slightly boozy taste (despite the 8.8% ABV), and yet it finished quite smooth. I've not had anything quite like it. It was a pretty good showcase for what barrel-aging can do for a beer -- positive and negative. Underneath was what tasted like a solid brown ale, which although not my favorite style, is pretty immediately recognizable, but what made it stand out were the barrel-aging characteristics. All told, worth a bottle or a draft if you happen to be up at the brewery.
