A: Didn't see the pour and was away from the table when it came so I can't comment on the head, though the retention couldn't have been great. But again, who knows how it was poured. Nice deep color, just the slightest light through it.
S: Hints of roast and malt, solid, but not overwhelming or anything. No hops whatsoever.
T: A coffee like bitter undertone, malty over tone. Just as in the smell, no hops. Finishes like dark chocolate
M: A little thin. Didn't seem to match the taste very well at all.
D: very nice Drinkability. nothing to complain about at all, though nothing that really stood out.

Almost black. Some barely visible scarlet red streaks. Nice looking brown head. But it's gone too quickly. The leftover collar leaves sporadic lace. Aroma is very good. Nice little backdrop of toffeeish English style malts with spatterings of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts all over that. Flavor is spot on. Great english malt backbone with hints of toffee and butterscotch. But the roasy, chocolatey, cocoa like qualities steal the show. Not to be overlooked is the "ghostly" milk sugar sweetness. Mouthfeel is very agreeable. Silky smooth and medium bodied. Maybe a little less. Very solid porter.
This specialty growler was brought to me by none other than the one and only ZAPmeister himself. Thanks bro.

A-Deep, dark brown that is almost black....creamy maroon highlighted head.
S-Very inviting...roasted malts are up front but also an excellent dark cocoa aroma as well...
T-A lot of flavor to this....excellent roasted maltiness....the cocoa lends a milk chocolate aspect...very light nuttiness closes the deal....low bitterness....great tasting porter.
M-Medium bodied...creamy, smooth and very pleasant to consume.
D-This one is the real deal....one of the better porters I have tried...outstanding in every aspect. I'm impressed that they hit gold with one of their first brews ever. This is a beer every craft brew loving Minnesotan should seek out and try. It is legit.
