Black color with a thin head on top.
Roasty and chocolatey smelling.
A very chocolatey stout with big dark roasted malts. Not very complex, but about perfect for the style.
Smooth and slightly velvety feel. Some prickly rather than creamy carbonation, but still very smooth and full bodied.
Apparently they changed the recipe because this one now weighs in at 8% abv. Still this thing drinks superbly. An all around enjoyable oatmeal stout.

This beer is dark brown/black. Creamy light brown head. Moderate amounts of lace. Aroma consists of milk chocolate and coffee bean and some milk sugar sweetness. Body is about medium. Velvety and smooth. Taste follows suit with the aroma. Milk chocolate, vanilla bean, cocoa. Very nice. This beer is milky smooth, chocolatey and delicious. One of the better oatmeal stouts that I have had.

This is a dandy...
First thing I notice is the velvety, rich texture....I expected it to be this way but this is above and beyond what I had hoped for.
Body seems pretty big for an oatmeal stout...call it a double Oatmeal if you want...I just saw the write-up and this is just under 7%.
A nice subtle chocolate oatmeal cookie like flavor...very tasty and a great aroma as well.
The mouthfeel is outstanding....
Simply put this is a great, well made oatmeal stout...I am adding this to my ever growing list of favorites from this highly overlooked brew pub. I wish I lived closer but I always stop in for three growlers on the way through...
