Light muddy color, hazy. Beautiful light brown head, fluffy, sticky. Long standing.
Rather yeasty smell, with bread crust. Notes of malt, dark malt. And in the back, just a hint of chocolately, maybe.
Rathe full taste, with malty notes, a hint of banana, and again yeast. A bit chewy.
Pleasant, not excepional, but not boring.

Had this beer in Munich.Very cool place to be and very good beers to drink! Got this beer in a liter mug.

It had a 4in head, but anyone who has had a liter mug in a beer haus knows that is normal. This brew was a very cloudy golden color with decent lacing. This had a very sweet smell with hints of spice and orange. There was a nice wheat taste very smooth and earthy spices. This was a great beer to drink with a large pretzel.

I had a 0.5L bottle of this (immediately after the weisse hell) with dinner in a Chinese restaurant in Munich. Unfortunately a German colleague did not want Bavarian food on this night...

The appearance was good, maybe a little lighter colored than I expected. It was hazy dark orange with a thick froth, and like the weisse hell I had to carefully pour several times to get all the beer in the glass. The aroma is almost identical to the weisse hell, bananas and cloves. The taste was great too, with a thick creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter bite at the end. This was a very nice dark wheat beer, but I would have liked a little less bitterness in the after-taste. Oh well it was great to try it.

On tap at the Gasthof Wildbad in Burgbernheim Germany, June 3, 2005.

Unfiltered, cloudy brownish orange brew under a huge off-white creamy head that lasted well and left good lacing. Moderate cookie malt aroma, with some clove and herbs.

Mouthfeel and drinkability were okay, but the taste was a bit of a let-down. The dominant note was not clove or banana or citrus: it was oddly soapy. Wierd. Somewhat of a disappointment. Wondered if the glass was not completely rinsed or something.

I sampled this at the Kraillinger Brauerei (actually only a Gasthof) in the München suburb of Krailling/Planegg. Enjoyed on tap, it has a deep, dark copper/mahogany color, and is of course cloudy. Atop the nectar sits a voluminous mound of tan whipped cream. The head just sits and sits there, and leaves good lacing as well. The nose is mild and clovey...nice but subdued, with perhaps a touch of chocolate there as well. Has a medium body, and nice smoothness. There are seemingly millions of minute bubbles heading to the surface. Flavor is comprised of mild clove, along with dabs of chocolate and banana. It is a bit mild taste-wise, but still easily drinkable. Further, as it warmed a subtle fruitiness was added to the palate. Prosit!!
