500ml can, from the 2017 Brewer's Advent Calendar, shared by a friend on his birthday.
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and wispy off-white head, which leaves a bit of defrosting back windshield lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of bready and doughy pale malt, a bit of pome fruitiness, and some minor leafy, herbal, and floral noble hops. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, some apple and pear fruity notes, and more leafy, floral, and earthy verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is average in its workaday frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with a thin airy creaminess arising as things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the sturdy malt pretty much running the lingering show.
Overall - this is a well-made and enjoyable straight-up version of the style, with a nice sweetness. Worthy of a few more rounds, if that were an option for this product where we live. Watch, it'll be on local store shelves come January.

From Costco. Can. In Bavaria hefe glass. Playing Bioshock Remastered. The best so far, with difference, of Costco's beer advent calendar 2017. Deliciously malty, very crushable and without out of place notes
