Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served an amber colored brew with a one half finger white head. The head fades rather fast to leave a moderate level of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a citrus and earthy hop aroma. Mixed with this are notes of caramel and some bready smells.

Taste – The taste begins with flavors of a malty and bready base with hints of cameral end some lighter citrus hop. The citrus hop grows stronger more toward the middle with the sweeter caramel flavors losing some ground. Toward the end the grapefruit citrus hop flavors give way to more herbal and a light pine hop flavor leaving a somewhat bitter flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner side with an average carbonation level. The medium to light body and average carbonation are quite fitting for the style and make for a rather easy drinking brew.

Overall – It was an alright brew. Decently hopped, but somewhat dry and unbalanced. It’s good to try, but one I would not go back to.
