A 500ml clear glass bottle with a BB of Feb 2018. Picked up a little while back from B&M. Described on the label as a 'superior russet ale'.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A deep reddish-amber colour with good clarity and plentiful carbonation. Forms a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of light caramel malt with hints of mild grain, ale yeast, delicate stewed hops and just a twinge of roastiness. Decent but very subtle.
T: Tastes of watery caramel malt with notes of vague grain, light stewed hops and ale yeast. A restrained bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and a light, insubstantial body (though considering the strength this isn't a surprise). Aftertaste of bitter leafy hops, subtle caramel malt and ale yeast.
O: OK for a low-strength ale but lacking in character. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are pretty bland. Decent balance between malt and bitterness. So-so body. Drinkable but unremarkable; no need to hunt it down.

Bottled and sadly clear glass
Pours a burnished bronze body with a head that just won't stay around.
The aroma clearly shows this beer has been very much skunked
Shame because there is some nice caramel flavour and a decent body
