Clear 500ml bottle: best before Apr 2013, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 14th Aug 2012.
Slight haze to the amber body: off-white head of tight bubbles on top, sadly the head died a bit swiftly for my liking.
No great smells (like all Wickwar brews?), some hints of hoppy citrus and biscuity malts but only weak.
Grapefruit and biscuit malts in the taste, nothing overpowering, just background flavours to find. Wickwar do this easy drinking, pleasing brews around 4% ABV very well (BOB being another good example). Nothing to upset your taste buds but with a little something to interest your palate.
