Copenhagen 4/8 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. Very blue underwater label with a lot of bubbles and seaweed drifting around. Very appropriate for a seaweed beer.
Pours golden amber with a small white head. Stable. Settles as a thin almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish and lightly fruity. Weak notes of tropical fruit and a little citric odeur. Not much sign of the seaweed here.
Medium strong carbonation and a slightly thick palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a light sweetness followed by a more pronounced bitterness - actually with a salty touch. Medium long bitter aftertaste. There actually might be something to the "hint of salt" mentioned on the label.
Nothing extraordinary - but an amusing idea.
