Wild Creek Brewing at Untamed Southwest Grill. Kind of odd to have two different names but here we are. Made a trip to Winter Park and Wild Creek. Located on the main strip it was pretty easy to find. I would assume that during the winter skiing months that parking would be a little crazy but no problems now.
Once inside there is a good sized bar with some sitting that over looks a sunken area where the brew equipment was located. Another area for seating, mostly for the restaurant and a third section upstairs with a few pool tables and such. A cool log house setting for most of the décor with a variety of their house posters. Pretty clean overall. The equipment looked to be about 5 bbl's or so, but one thing I couldn't figure out is how they got the grain to the grist case, which was hanging from the roof.
They only have 4 house beers on tap, but there were enough taps/serving tanks for more (roughly 8 or so). Some guest taps as well. The four beers consisted of a Pale, Amber, Gold and a Irish Red which was a seasonal. All were just a little off with a watery taste and noticeable oxidation flavors. Really a disappointment. I understand that it's the summer season and there is less demand but I was disappointed with the quality and availability.
The staff was not very knowledgeable. Although the waiter mentioned multiple times that he only works one day a week. (Un)lucky us. We didn't eat but of the very few people who were there that did, it looked food. The menu had typical burgers and pizza's mostly.
Not a great visit overall. Nice atmosphere but the staff, beers and selections were pour. I don't think I would go even if I was in Winter Park again.
