Served on-tap at the tasting room.
A - Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty webs of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of lots of orange zest, lightly toasted grain, some mild musty saison yeast and a bit of peppery spice.
T - Starts off with the bright orange zest zip quickly being joined by the bready grain and musty yeast and finally some spicy black pepper. Finish is kind of chewy with some peppery fruit, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Fruity, bready feel with some light spice at the end of each sip.
O - One of the better saison's I have had from them. The fruit is there throughout and the base saison is pretty good. Give it a shot if you get the chance.
