Review from notes taken 11/1/14. On tap at springhouse's taproom and consumed alongside the amarillo version. The brew pours a clear yellow color with a white froth a finger strong that displays solid retaining powers and paints a full wall lace on the glass.
The aroma comes off herbal with a little citrus note and overall very clean feel. The taste is herbal and quite dank with light citrus aspects to fill out the profile. I greatly prefer this hop variation over amarillo as it does not display the melon flavors present with amarillo.
This is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Very dry and crisp feeling and a real treat to be able to taste alongside the same beer with a different hop utilization to compare/contrast and learn about nuance of different hops. This is a "project" or sampling I can get behind and would appreciate sampling more variations of.
