Aging seems to really benefited this one. Opened on Thanksgiving for desert with pecan pie, an exquisite pairing. A deep dark pour with deep roasty smell. Smooth mouthfeel with hints of chocolate, much better than a cup of coffee. Hard to believe it is 14.5% it goes down so easy.

750ml corked and caged bottle into a snifter appears black in color with a mocha head that retains well, fading leaving stringy lace.
Nose is boozy with faint vanilla, chocolate and caramel with earthen roastiness.
The taste is bitter roast, earth and a bit of greenness. As it warms up, cacao and more booze emerges. Not much barrel character to this other than the exaggerated booziness.
This is medium in body with light carbonation. Its not terrible but not good either.
