Poured into my Surly glass at 47 degrees. A beautiful billowy head that is frothy and creamy with really good retention. The head had excellent retention and left some beautiful lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is a hazy straw color with some golden hues. A good amount of carbonation exist within the beer.

Tropical, orange, pine, resin, grapefruit, floral esters, and some stone fruit rounds out the hops. The malt is a lightly toasted with some yeast, biscuit, honey, earthy, with some phenolic notes, not in a bad way.

The malt backbone is rather weak for the massive hop onslaught. The hops flavor is off the charts, with tropical, pineapple, grapefruit, huge pine notes, resin, floral esters and some phenolic notes. The malt is lightly toasted with honey, earthy and some yeasty notes.

The body of the beer is medium with a medium plus carbonation, full finish, very astringent, dry, a very good mouth feel.

I maybe in the minority here when I say this but, the beer suffers from some serious confusion. It is a very nice IPA, great flavors, but the malt backbone needs to be stronger for the onslaught of hops the beer is enduring. Yes, I like the beer, but there is no harmony, everything is fighting against each other.

Pounder can into a teku appears hazy golden yellow with white cap that fades leaving patchy lace.

Aroma of citrus pith/pulp with a slightly cheesey hop pellet feel and a little dusty fruit note.

Taste is pulpy pithy and bitter akin to grapefruit with grassiness and slight tropical feel.

Medium in body with modest carbonatiom. Not bad but not something I need to buy again. Congrats to Springhouse on 10 years and trying to make an ipa without the crutch if fruit/adjuncts but this was pretty mediocre.
