Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Opaque/cloudy light golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Grapefruit juice/citrus.
T/F: Just like it smells. A grapefruit citrus bomb. Juicy and delicious... mild tartness. Lighter tropicals in the back like mango and papaya. Oily on the tongue... light and drinkable. Carbonation on point.
O: Nothing fancy... just a straight up New England IPA juice bomb. If you like grapefruit/citrusy NEIPA's you'll enjoy this beer. Much better than its lackluster rating.

Can dated 12/27/17 into pint glass. Pours a hazy pale straw color with a HUGE fizzy head. Not a good sign. Initial impression is tropical fruit (mango, etc) with a noticeably sweetish biscuit malt presence. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation (surprisingly). Finish is fruity-sweet.
Guess I shoulda known better than to buy anything with "a Go Go" in its name. Meh.

Poured into pint glass from 16oz can dated 12/27 on 3/25. Aroma is very sour, cat piss is the best description. Purports to be a NEIPA, but pours very clear - like a pilsner. Malts are in the background as they should, but there is nothing that suggests this is a NEIPA beyond what is printed on the label.

It is the occasion of New Southern Samuel Springhouse Shipyard, But NO Super Bowl, Sunday (Week 676) and things are progressing nicely. I scored this CAN for The CANQuest (tm) at the FGBS on Wednesday & I have submitted a picture for approval, so things are Green & Go on this end.
From the CAN: "New England Style Pale Ale".
Say what?!? I guess that cloudy, unfiltered messes are no longer CANfined to AIPAs. Okay (sighs). I Crack!ed the CAN open & CANmenced a slow, gentle Glug in the off ChANce that it might not be cloudy. I was moderately successful in that it was a faintly-hazy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4). Nose had the now-familiar tropical fruitiness of the southern hemisphere hops. Is this an APA, an AIPA or some bastardization thereof? Either way, the current designation is AIPA & so be it. These beers are always going to lose by me since they have none of the bitterness that is a hallmark of the style. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was very tropical fruity, with the usual suspects of mango, papaya & guava having been rounded up & thrown in. That would be great except that I was looking for some serious IBUS finish out the day. Speaking if finish, it was just a bit too sweet for me. Also, following my initial gentle pour, I started going a bit more aggro & it turned downright cloudy. If that is your thing, then go big from the outset. I'm going back into the reefer to drink one more beer for the day.
