Pours a pitch black with a very fizzy tan head. Smells of rich roasted malts, chocolate, oak, vanilla and hazelnut. There is a hint of bourbon on the end or the nose. The flavor is much different as bourbon dominates. Then more roasted malts, some nuttiness and a touch of fudge on the finish in the taste. The beer has a lot of carbonation on the mouth. I don't want to call the carbonation excessive but more than lively. The mouth has a warm boozy finish. Overall this is a fair beer. The barrel aging in Buffalo Trace stands out more than the flavor of the stout.

750ml corked and caged bottle poured into a teku appears black in color with a mocha head that fades leaving spotty lace.
Nose had chocolate, caramel and vanilla sweetness that indeed comes across like brownie batter.
The taste is much of the same with a hint of something like mint and more earthen dry bitterness and booze.
This is medium in body with modest carbobation. Overall fairly decent and they nailed the adjuncts and hide the booze well. Just not sure where the weird minty character came from.
