It rather grinds my gears that the only local brewery to make this beer thus far is the place that I would rather boycott. I have had too many misdealings with ownership & management to want to give them my business, but for this cause, The CANQuest (tm) will bite the bullet.

I Crack!ed open the vent to reveal a brimful craft CAN. Thank you, SHBC for the generosity. I then beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug until I realized that any hope of clarity was futile & went to a steady Glug until the glass was charged. This all resulted in two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with excellent retention. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose had a highly tropical fruitiness with the usual suspects at the forefront. Mango, papaya, guava & passion fruit were all lined up for my enjoyment. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was far more citrusy than the nose had led me to expect. In fact, it was quite bitter with a definite grapefruit flavor! 8=O This, I CAN get behind. I was quite happy with the bitterness that led to a rather dry finish. YMMV.
A recent poll asked how many of these I plan to try. I said 1 to 10 & I am sticking with that, but this gave me renewed hopes for a positive outcome. Well done to the locals!
