Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. No packaging date on the can. This is a kumquat lime gose, according to the can.
Appearance: nearly crystal-clear light-golden hue with a strong effervescence and a finger of fizzy white foam atop. Lively!
Smell: definitely lime, as well as a softer citrus element (I wouldn't necessarily have guessed kumquat) along with a hint of sourness and a moderate sweetness.
Taste: sweet, with a good lime flavor and a bright prick of sourness that mellows out as the beer finishes. The malt backbone provides a nice cereal contrast to the sourness. I think it's well-put-together.
Mouthfeel: light body with a bright effervescence that, while not creamy, is definitely refreshing.
Overall: I just like this beer. It's really working for me, and is really a surprisingly good application of lime in a beer.
