To rate and describe it, a pint can was emptied into a clear glass liter mug. A bright golden amber liquid shows, with a stark white head on top. It seems to land in the middle of the translucent-opaque dichotomy. The head is a little too starchy and it recedes unevenly and unattractively. Same with the lacing within the vessel. The aroma is promising, with some piney hops at the forefront. But, for the mouth, there’s much missing here. There's almost no malty body and with that, almost no counterbalance to the decent, but not great, hopping. It tastes as green as much as it tastes piney. It is dry, but without any depth. The best West Coast IPAs take your taste buds on an interesting ride. This one flatlines. A reasonable dose of piney hops, for sure, but nothing else and overall, nothing very interesting.
