Maybe it's Gingerdead, but the label is a little ambiguous. What's not ambiguous is the aroma emanating from a clear glass liter mug, into which a full pint can has been emptied. We're off to a great start, as there's plenty of gingerbread aroma in the air, although not warm, which is the best. It's a beautiful black coffee brown colored brew with a wonderful biege lacing that really sticks to the inside of the vessel. But, something misfires. Upon drinking, what happened to the ginger and molasses spicing? This isn't a terrible brew, by any measure, but it falls short of delivering a full dose of its advertised taste. There's no molasses earthy sweetness and only a little more ginger spice bite. This gets really close to pulling the concept off. It's certainly worth the sample. It's another eight percent ABV brew with no hint at all about its potency
