Pours copper color into a tulip. White head with good lingering lacing.
Aroma is a combination of a little sweet and some funky sour.
Taste is quite sour. Disclaimer - I like sours. There is a caramel character to this that is interesting (perhaps that is the bourbon barrel). Otherwise, I did not detect a lot of barrel flavor.
Mouthfeel is fairly smooth. Carbonation is good.
Overall, very good - tart and sour and a little fruity. I would age this one for a while to let the wild yeast do its thing.

A: light hazy brown in color, big white head.
S: Tart cider, with a touch of vinegar, light brown sugar.
T: Tart with light fruit and caramel. Good barrel flavor, oak and a touch of bourbon, just enough to know it's there, but doesn't overpower.
M: medium body, active carbonation, and a light pucker.
O: just Damn good.

Gift from Joe Beck, BM Barrel House Head Brewer. Much more bourbon than expected. The tart is there, but the bourbon dominates. Enjoyed it, but if the bourbon and yeast roles were reversed I probably would have enjoyed it more
