Served in a Shaker pint at the brewpub.
A: Light copper with dense 1-finger frothy beige head with good retention and lacing.
S: Pine and resin with light caramel maltiness
T: Flavor is a little harsh on the resiny angle with some grapefruit and orange sneaking in there. A lot of pine too. Maltiness seems muddled with caramel malt in there at amounts that do not belong. Bitterness is medium-high. No yeast character.
M: Slightly harsh and astringent in the hops/bitterness character. Medium body and somewhat creamy mouthfeel through mid-palate.
O: Not bad but would go a different direction if given same choices.
