My daughter and I had dinner @ south street and both had the lager. KK enjoyed it more than I. Its a good thing I didn't buy a 6 and unfortunantly my 1 beer limit prohibits me from sampling other offerings. KK interjects that the jp ale and pony are good.

Served on tap in a clear pint glass at South Street Brewery.

Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is pale, grainy malts, corn and subtle fruity notes. Taste is grassy hops, sweet malts and caramel, and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.

Appearance: Pours, as expected, a light amber. Medium head, with little to no lacing. A decent, but pretty average looking glass of beer.

Smell: Very light, faint smells, and hard to get many of them without agitation. Slightly sweet, fruity, and light grains.

Taste: Again, very light. There is a slight taste of hops, and a few sweet fruity notes, but the beer overall is a little too watery for my liking.

Mouthfeel: Decent. Clean, light, refreshing. Very little aftertaste.

Drinkability: Very drinkable, but at times felt more like having a glass of water than a beer.

Not a bad beer, but nothing particularly special either.

Served on-tap in a clear pint glass at South Street Brewery (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Golden with good clarity but middling head with below-average retention and no lacing.

S: Fruity with a good grain edge in the aroma. Sweet malt and dextrin aromas with grassy, noble hops

T: Clean and simple with mainly fruity malt flavors finished with grassy, noble hops. Crisp and satisfyingly refreshing. Went well with their vegetarian nachos.

M: Clean medium-bodied brew with mildly grainy and grassy hops aftertaste.

D: A good, simple, solid brew but nothing special.
