Served on tap at location while waiting on my party...

A: Deep crimson hues come out, though the lighting is rather low, so it could be appearing deeper in colour than it really is. A single finger of head tops it off, holding onto a reasonable retention and finishing with a nice sheeting of lace.

S: Light, herbal and a soft touch of caramel with fruity notes.

T: Soft fruity esters coat the tongue, along with a toasted maltiness and a slight bitterness. Not too bad.

M + D: Surprisingly heavy.. at least much moreso than I was expecting it to be. Not so much a chewiness to the body, just a heavy feeling as it passes over the tongue. A pleasant brew, and something I think I'll be returning to .

Had on draught the other evening at the brewery - recently re-added to the rotation. Served in a traditional American pint glass.

Appearance: A deep, clear cherrywood/mahogany color with a one-finger foamy, fine-bubbled head with slightly above-average retention. Beautiful color.

Aroma: Light toasty notes, herbal hop qualities, some spicy phenols. Overall faint, but nice.

Taste: More phenols, a nice toasted malt palette - grassy coffee, caramel, faint hints of chocolate, bready sweet dough - and a few spicy hop notes.

Mouthfeel: Very smooth, creamy and milky, medium to full bodied without being thick. Medium bubbled and even.

Drinkability: Nothing wrong here - a low abv%, tasty, refreshing beer, and one I think they should have in their rotation more often.

Served on-tap in clear pint glass

A: Dark brown color with thin off-white head that dissapates quickly

S: Very sweet and malty with a bit of berry-like fruitiness

T: The first taste was very honey-sweet and fruity, but as this beer warmed, its complex malt backbone was more apparent -- each sip was a little different. The malt sweetness was nicely balanced with a clean hops finish. Not a bit of fruitiness after that first sip.

M: Smooth with medium carbonation with a variety of different malt flavors.

D: Deliciously complex and smooth -- a real treat and very enjoyable to consume.

Served up a crystal clear light brown/deep amber with a nice tan head that sinks a little too quickly but leaves a decent lace behind in it's wake. Great toasty and biscuity malt aromas with a crisp almost peatish character. Great biscuity maltiness all the way through on this brew with some slight hints of earthy hops to help balance the brew out and an almost sharp smoky character to it as well. Great crisp, dry and refreshing mouthfeel to this one that could definitely quench a thirst nicely and it makes the brew excellently drinkable.
