Not sure that they are still brewing beer. They got a big ($$$)contract to brew their root beer and gave up beer. Reddish brown color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Again a kind of mild beer. Yet, there is a hint of roasted malts, nearly no hoppyness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean . Aftertaste is sligthly sweet.

Presentation: 12 oz long neck with no freshness date.
Appearance: Rustic reddish copper in colour with a lively off white lace that sticks everywhere.
Smell: Malty with a deep toasted malt nose.
Taste: Moderate in body and exceptionally crisp, lots of toasted malt on the palate. Malt sweetness is mild though the hop bitterness is passive also. Suggestions of caramel and crust off a fresh bake loaf of bread come to mind. This brew closes with further toasted grain turning dry in the finish.
Notes: A nice crisp and very drinkable malty brew. Good to see a brew around that is not hopped to the hilt. A fine example of what an American Red Ale should be. 5.1% abv.
