Foreword: I've seen beer ads for this brew on yellow cabs in Manhattan. The ads promote drinking a local product, but this beer appears to be contracted out to Pittsburgh.
Appearance/Head: Decent enough head, light amber color.
Aroma: Very little malt.
Taste: Taste??? Almost no malt, almost no hops. Crisp with a slight sweetness that renders it unbalanced. Tastes like an American lager brewed with an ale yeast. Don't fit the Amber Ale / Pale Ale style at all.
Bottom line: Avoid this beer that exploits the American microbrew scene and New York pride, at the expense of flavor.

Pours a very average looking amber. Clear, with a light misting of white head.
Aroma is slightly malty and sweet. Hops are mild and seem to compliment the malt well. Very light estery floral aroma, but not much else.
Flavor is malty, with a bit of a doughy flavor. It was kind of wierd and unimpressive. Kind of dull and unassuming. Light hops compliment and round out the malting. Balance is actually quite good, body is light, and carbonation is moderate to high, which is not my cup of tea. Made me burp like crazy. I found this in bottles while working in Staten Island. It was cool to find Staten Island beer, but an unremarkable brew on it's own.

Pours deep amber in color with a small, tight. white head that leaves beautiful rings of lace. Floral and citrus hop aromas dominate with some sweet malt in the backround. Medium in body with a smooth mouthfeel. Toasted malt flavor with earthy hops and citrus. A nice bitterness rounds out this well balanced brew. Quite drinkable and tasty!!
