A really enjoyable, true-to-style English Dark Mild Ale. Selin's Grove does a great job with less trendy lower ABV-style beers and this one is no exception.

On tap at the brewpub last night. Served in standard pint glass.
Very flat appearance, no carbonation could be seen. Color was a deep reddish amber. A faint head was all that could be seen, therefore no lacing.
Very clear aroma of sweet malts
Taste was pretty good, a nice easily going down malt bomb, well more of a malt grenade. Couldn't detect much else. Very drinkable at 4.0abv.
Mouth was pretty thin, did leave a nice wash throughout the mouth and, which surprised me, could detect the carbonation in the finish.
Overall, a good sessionable beer.

This was a small beer brewed in partigyle fashion in conjunction with their big beer - wee heavy. Served from the handpump into a standard pub glass, the brew appears a clear copper orange color with a white cap that fades quick leaving some patchy lace.
The aroma opens lightly of minerals and is carbonic with a fruity hop edge. Some caramel malt sweetness is present. This brew smells fresh and inviting but a little muted overall.
The taste is caramel malt sweetness upfront with a hint of toffee and a touch of carbonic/mineral character. It displays almost a spiced appeal overtop a biscuit-like fresh graininess.
This is light bodied and lightly carbonated. It is very much a mild in nature in that it is crushable and easy drinking but lacking a bit in depth and feel. It is just a little watery feeling. But for a small beer made off the "waste" of a bigger beer, it isnt that bad.
