Look - luscious deep copper/ brown. Lovely thick light brown head.
Smell - not a lot breaks through that head. Toffee and a little roast.
Taste - malt sweetness, a bit of nut/toffee, not as roasted as the Snake Drive or Shade Mountain stouts but clean and refreshing.
Feel - nitro velvet but smooth. Head clings tight to the glass leaving beautiful rings every sip/gulp.
Overall - a terrific stout with a fine pedigree. A pleasant replacement for SMOS, my favorite beer in the whole world. Would love to try them side-by-side.

On tap at the source served on nitro.
Deep dark brown color with a tightly bubbled long lasting off white head that persists.Rich caramel and dark chocolate with a cereal grain edge to it. Faint roasty coffee notes. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Solid beer, but my least favorite of the session. Needs more roast imho.

Draft offering at the SGB pub. Served via nitro the brew appears black in color with a khaki colored head that fades leaving an entire wall of lace.

The nose has a slight citrus note then fades to mostly char and notes of chocolate and coffee.

The taste is bitter with chocolate and coffee with a faint caramel and raisony sweetness to contrast the bitter roast.

Overall this is a fairly clean feeling stout that is medium in body with modest carbonation. Pretty effortless to throw back a couple of these.

Had this on nitro tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown, almost black with a creamy head. Lot of coffee aroma but not overwhelming in the flavor. Nice roasted chocolatey flavor.
