Draft offering at the pub. The brew appears dark brown to black in color with a tan cap that fades leaving stringy lace.
All raspberry in the nose and it is crazy vibrant with soft chocolate underneath. If you wanted to complain about anything here it would be that in its current state the raspberry dominates.
The taste is raspberry tart upfront then chocolate almost reminescent of tootsierolls towards the finish. As it warms a slight earthen appeal comes out as the only indication of the brews base.
This is medium in body with modest carbonation. Effortlessly drinkable and pretty intense with dominating raspberry addition. I had several glasses of this and I cant wait to see what its like down the road when some of the fruit fades (they indicated they are gonna be aging some kegs of this.)
