On tap at the SGB.
Pours a dark brown, that possesses almost purple highlights at times, with a thin brite-white head that leaves a creamy ring of retention around the edges that leaves good lacing that slowly slides down the glass. The aroma is deep with raspberry awesomeness but I think I'm picking up some additional fruit tartness character as well. There is some sweetness in there too, as well as somewhat of an alcohol weight to the smell.
The taste is once again straight up raspberries in the front with some extra dark fruit (probably cherry) elements that are backed by a pleasant combo of roasted chocolate sweetness and spices. The mouthfeel is medium bodied but still has a lively feel to it and I'm picking up the tiniest bit of heat in the body as well.
They do great fruit influenced beers here at the SGB and this one is no different. The raspberry and cherry flavors seem to dominant at times but I think it had just enough good Porter characteristics to keep the style in check. Even with a little heat detection, this was still immensely quaffable. I'd love to see this latest creation make future return appearances sooner rather than later.

A - Hazy, dirty brown body with plum accents and 1/2-finger creamy beige head that fully receded and left very minimal lacing.
S - Fresh raspberry aroma with a sweet, candy-like aspect much akin to their Razzmerry, but with more of a malt presence.
T - Tart raspberry flavor with plenty of sweetness to balance things out. Slight roasted maltiness with a bit of a nutty flavor. The tartness of the fruit works exceptionally well with the roasted malts.
M - Very smooth texture with a mild effervescence. Creamy, yet leaves a nice residual sticky sweetness that coats the tongue.
D - Wow! This one exceeded my expectations. Very fresh with a pleasant raspberry tartness and lots of sweet malt goodness. SGB really knows how to make fruit beers!
