On tap at SGB on 2/28/09.

A - Poured a pretty amber/orange, copper-kissed body with the obligatory Selin's Grove hazy and one-finger creamy off-white head that transformed to a patchy film and some exquisite doilie-like lacing.

S - Floral and perfumy hop aroma with a splash of citrus and some mild spicy notes. Malt is quite sweet and caramely.

T - Spicy hops up front with a floral and perfumy flair as well as a bit of citrus character. Slightly woody and dry in the middle. Finishes with a sturdy malt backbone of bread and caramel.

M - Medium body with a slight syrupy texture. Carbonation is bristly but not poppy. Moderately bitter finish on the palate with a slight dryness.

D - Another fine IPA from Selin's Grove, although not as amazing as Olde Frosty or Olde SNAFU. Still this is very well done. Love the Fuggles!

A-Orange tinted copper with a thin white head that held on strong and left decent lace.

S-Bright, floral, spicy....the unmistakable aroma of 100% Fuggles. A nice, backing caramel malt sweetness.

T-Mmmmm...not over the top hops but a complimenting addition of the lovliness that are Fuggles hops! Fruity, floral, spicy...all wrapped around a sweet caramel and slightly biscuity malt base. This is maybe just a touch stronger in flavour than the true English IPA's I have had but it is a very good representation of the style.

M-Medium-light bodied, bright and crisp. Nice lingering hop flavours and bitterness.

D-A solid offering while we hop heads await for the return of the standard SGB IPA. True English style all the way with the use of 100% Fuggles hops. This would be magic on the hand pull!
