Brewed at the Hopcat in conjunction with Michael Plank. Sampled on 8/14/08 and reviewed from notes.
On-tap poured into a nonic pint.
A- Nice, hazy, golden/orangeish/brown body. Not much of a head, lace, or stick.
S- Not a very strong smell. Definite rye aroma mixed with earthy hops. Maybe a touch of wheat-like scent.
T- Real rye flavor comes through with light hopping. Honey doesn't come through as a honey flavor, but may add just a touch of sweetness and alcohol.
M- Smooth feel.
D- It's an easy drinker. I'm impressed with my first Hopcat House Brew.
