Kisz Classic Czech Dark pours aclear, dark russett brown body beneath a short head of creamy, off-white foam that holds well before dropping to a thin collar. Lacing is limited.
The nose is clean and offers a light note of dark kilned malt, but it's neither chocolatey or roasty.
Its medium body, and very fine, median carbonation leave it gently crisp and smooth in the mouth.
The flavor reveals a malt character that's grainy with notes of dark caramel. Some mild floral/spicy hops round it out. It finishes dry with some light residual bitterness and a mild, lingering, dark caramel maltiness.
Very much a straightforward Munich-style dunkel. Nicely done.

11.3 oz bottle into tulip glass. A: translucent brown, very little head and some moderate lacing. S: Roasted malts, some coffee, some distant grassy hops. T: Pretty crisp; rye bread, lighter malts, the hops are present but pretty muted. M: A little thin, but nothing to complain too much about. D: Overall pretty refreshing. Not the most interesting beer in the world but it's a nice crisp dark lager for a fall evening.

poured a moderate brown color with slight tannish head that feel to slight ring. Smell is of toated malts with a clisht crispness. Taste is of caramel and more dark malts and very enjoyable. Bitter finish with hops and crispness noted. Very enjoyable. Good example of this style of beer.

Pours a dark brown wiht hints of red. Big white-tan head.
Nice bready aroma, some hints of sweetness, caramel-like.
Medium body, fairly smooth. NIce dark bread flavor. Moderate hop bitterness comes through as well. Finishes with a faint roasted sweet flavor. Hints of caramel as well.
Not bad at all. Nice flavors and easy drinking. Refreshing.

Brown to dark brown with a full beige head and decent carbonation. Sweet dark caramel malt aroma with spicy bready notes. Tastes much like it smells. Light-medium bodied with light creaminess and a light roasty finish.

Pours a clear dark mahogany with a small creamy tan head and medium lace. Aroma is roasted malts, carmel malts, and a little underlying grain. Flavor is medium roasted malts which deepen into burnt toast & bread notes and finish with light hop bitterness and a slightly metallic, but lasting, drying burnt flavor. Very tasty and relatively clean. Medium-creamy body and slightly-overpowering carbonation. A very good, refreshing dark lager.

Presentation: 12 oz green bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with reddish shading, slim tan lace does not stay for long but still seems to keep a ring around the glass.
Smell: Bready sweet malt aroma with suggestions of pumpernickel, clean to the nose.
Taste: Light chewy malt, it is bready just like the aroma but not as sweet. Medium body with a quick crispness. Pumpernickel bready flavours throughout. Clean on the palate with a balancing hop bitterness that leaves little flavour. A ghost like smoky charcoal flavour comes from the darker malts used.
Notes: A pretty good dark lager, on the same lines as Lowenbrau or Warsteiner dark. Paired perfectly with salami and cheddar on pumpernickel.
