how cool to have this one in such close proximity to the regular nora. they call it sour, but like the wayan one, its really not all that sour compared to the high acidity lacto stuff made in America. this is way more delicate than that. a very hazy pour like the base beer, maybe even more so, but this time without any carbonation evident at all, and that hurts its look. its downright murky without it. a nose of sharp citrus and spices. much more intense flavors than the base beer, but equally well integrated, with the wild yeast being quite funky, estery, fruity, citrusy, and almost like a saison more than a true sour. acidity is mild, but it could come from citrus too, that flavor is strong. I love the flavor but I dislike the feel. a beer like this needs to have some bubbles, and this is woefully lacking there, even with its light body it lacks the liveliness its flavors mandate and deserve. still an awesome beer to try, thanks to my brother-in-law-ish for venturing out of his comfort zone to make this a reality!
