Low carbonation, dead hops, lightly syrupy, kind of a caramel/orange/wet earthiness thing happening…..very different and more muted than many IPAs. Really grew on me as I drank it. Not bad at all, Chipper.

From a thick Italian 33 cl bottle, this beer pours a clear amber-gold color with a thick white head. The aroma has a wet-earth quality, backed with some spice and a burnt candy note. The taste is lightly sweet with a Belgian phenol character and wet hop quality throughout. Medium-full in body and quite satisfying.

from 11.2oz bottle to glass
A: 1.5 finger white head, decent lacing. Color of the body is an amber, almost blood orange. Small bubble carbonization.
S: floral and light fruitiness. Fresh Grapefruit, tangerine.
T: fruit-candy taste. fruity citrus hints. Malt. It does have a black-tea note. Nothing strong here.
F: medium-light bodied. somewhat bitter, somewhat watery. Dry finish.
O: it’s nothing special but it’s an interesting take on an English ipa. I would have it again - I may be biased and developing a soft spot for Italian craft stuff.

Perhaps inspired by America's hop revolution, but make no mistake about it. This IPA is all italian. Made with all Italian ingredients, the truly farm-to-brewery ale instills the flavor of pride for Baladin brewers.
Light and amber-orange at it's pour, L'IPPA floats a tall creamy white froth along with a candied fruit hop profile, decorated with stone fruit, tropical fruit, berry and citrus with spicy herb to follow. Sweet with impressions of caramel, honey and bread crust, the grain sweetness is clean and plump, at least until the hops rise to balance the middle palate with orange, apricot, mango, red berry and melon. Trending slightly more bitter than sweet, the finish is racy and dry with peppery herbs, pine resins and botanical finish.
Medium bodied and residing on the bitter side of bitter-sweet, preferring a more English IPA balance and ester profile.

L-Pours a dark mahogany colored beer with about a one finger head that's frothy and lively. Lively carbonation.
S-Malty upfront immediately. Wheat and yeast follows. Biscuit. Not too much else, to be honest... Maybe a little bit of apple that flows with the malty sweetness. Minimal.
T-A little bitter, a little yeasty, and a little funky. Maybe some slight grape. Pretty watered down honestly. Nothing offensive.
F-Light bodied with a dry finish.
O-Disappointed. Was hoping for something interesting since this is my first Italian craft beer. I know Italy isn't particularly known for their beer, but this is just a bit of a dud. Nothing offensive at all about the beer, but a pretty boring take on an overall boring beer style. Wanted more. Wouldn't buy again.

(apologies if I made any bad mistakes, but ... this might have been an OK beer 30 years ago, but it's an inferior IPA by any standard today.)

Found this beer at our new local Total Wine.
Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Murky orangish yellow with a nice initial head and good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of citrus and black tea. Some raspberries and a bit of funk. Overall, pretty good.
