Nice soft sour ale, rather smooth and pleasing.
Presentation: Custom 750 ml dark green capped bottle. Simple label in warm color with handmade feel in the typography. Notes 2004 edition, and 8% Alc. by Vol. Served in a tulip glass.
A - Medium amber pour, small head, small fizzy retention with a fair surface ring and minimal lacing.
S - Soft nice nose, sour notes, slightly acidic and sweet.
T - Nice soft sour sense, fruity touches, slight acidic/vinegar touch woven with a soft yeasty caramel reaching out to the easy sourness.
M - Medium/light body with medium/high carbonation, nice flow with a gentle sourness lingering in the finish.
O - Nice flow, worth the try...
Notes: Not that memorable a brew but I think it still drinks rather well. Maybe I was expecting a higher level of complexity but the brew holds its ground.

Tried this shortly after picking up the regular Baladin Super. This version poured out as a copper or amber color. The head was white a fizzy, doesn't really leaving much to the eye. The lacing is very minimal. The smell of the beer gives off a light tart metallic vinegar aroma. The taste of the beer wasn't as bad I thought it was going to be. The taste had some tart cherries in there. The mouthfeel was drinkable, had some decent carbonation bite to it with a dry feeling also. Overall it's average at best I think. I drank it, but wouldn't have to spend good money on it again.

Another "great" Italian beer shared by Bobby...
A: The pour is a copperish sort of color with a short lived khaki/tan head.
S: The nose is extremely metallic, almost like iron in vitamins. Maybe some fruit notes (melon?), not really any sourness other than a hint of vinegar.
T: Definitely a bit more tartness than the nose would let on, but still not good. Again, highly metallic in nature. It tastes like I'm chewing on the cap. There's also quite a bit of sweetness, especially for a beer that claims to be the "sour edition".
M: The body is light to medium with a very high carbonation and a distinct mineral heavy finish.
D: I don't want to slam this beer much more than I already have, but this was just not good. I have no desire to drink this beer again.
