Light brown body, no head. Nose is sweeter with notes of toffee, lighter toasted caramel, vanilla, plum, raisin, with contrasting brighter wood, tobacco, barley, mild earthy smoke, and char. Taste has the big Cyprus wood notes running through all the sweet tones of the nose, with an earthy base of barley and tobacco, finish has a touch of acidic grape added. Unique and fantastic! Feel is still and smooth, light bodied but has plenty of barrel character with only moderate booze, rich but in a controlled and dignified way. You got to try this own, have had nothing like it! The wife loved it

Sweet caramel and toffee candy, a hint of plums and dark fruit, a hint of umami, and a hint of oak barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a silky smooth, butterscotch and toffee, port wine, and a sweet candied plums finish. As it warms, a faint hint of hoppy bitterness starts to peek out, but it is very contained and subdued. This is definitely a sipper being a "still" barleywine...it is different but exquisite!
