The aroma of the beer is dominated by fresh hazelnuts, which come from the use of Tonda Gentile hazelnut flour. The hazelnut shells provide a rich aromatic profile, where the hazelnut blends perfectly with the notes of dried fruit typically found in Baladin Super.

Copenhagen 26/10 2018. 75 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaards Webshop. The fine stumpy bottle Le Baladin usually uses. Drawing of some Hazelnuts on the label.
Pours hazy amber with small white head. Settles as lonely, thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is of fermented fruit, alcohol, caramel, marzipan - and actually some nuts. Sharp sour notes rummaging in the background.
Soft carbonation. Soft, kind of flat texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness followed by more moderate, sharp, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a strong sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
More sweet than nutty - and a bit cloying. If you like your beer strong and with a kick of alcohol, this might be your thing.
