Enjoyed while attending Cantillon Zwanze Day 2012 at Avenue Pub as a pre-game to the event! Served from tap into a Duvel sampler. Poured a dark yellow-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, sour, earth, subtle funk, and fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, fruit, sour, earth, and subtle wood. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. When I saw this one pop up on the tap list I knew that I had to give it a try. While it wasn’t out of this world, I’m glad that I did. The flavor of this one really had a good bit of notes going on here that blended really well together. The aroma wasn’t too bad, but there really wasn’t any complexity taking place which I found to be a little unfortunate. Worth your time trying if you get the chance to judge for yourself.

Served on tap at Brouwerij Lane in Brooklyn, NY
A: Pours a very lightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a thin white head that quickly reduces to a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of honey sweetness with lighter, more subtel aromas of wheat, orange peel, and ginger spiciness.
T: Starts out fairly sweet with the flavor of the honey dominating. After the honey sweetness, there are more subtle yet complex flavors of orange peel, ginger, and black pepper.
M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: This beer reminds me of a slightly less sweet lower ABV and better Dogfish Head Midas Touch. This beer has a little more complexity to the flavor and more spiciness. Enjoyable but definitely a sipping beer.

A: The beer is golden orange in color and poured with a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are light aromas of spices and honey in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of honey along with notes of orange peel and myrrth.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste somewhat reminds me of a Dogfish Head Midas Touch, although despite all of the strange flavors it is a lot easier to drink.

On tap at Max's today.
The beer pours a solid gold color with minimal head retention and light lacing. Don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some honey and light sour. The flavor profile is better, as I get some honey, grapes and light sour. This is pretty easy to enjoy and appreciate. Mouthfeel is fairly light, and the finish is fairly clean, with honey and sour at the end. Alcohol is completely unnoticeable.
A nice enough beer, but hardly anything extraordiary.
