Deep brown color and potentially cloudy—hard to tell but light doesn’t pass through the glass. Decent lacing in the form of streaks and rings.
Dark chocolate and sweetened coffee aroma. A light ash in the background.
Very thin body with moderate carbonation. The watery-ness is distracting. The flavors are far, far weaker than the smell. The darker malt flavors show up in the swallow and it’s really a one-trick pony of toasted brown bread. There’s an off flavor that reminds me of the smell of boiled seafood. Short aftertaste.
