Dark brown color where light passes through the center of the glass. Moderate head but little lace, mostly minor spots.
There's a light burnt aroma coming from the black patent malt. No notable chocolate or coffee making this a true Schwartzbier.
Thin bodied as expected with a higher level of carbonation. The burnt malt flavors really come through creating an ashen flavor. Flavorful and easy to drink.
