Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is very strong of a tangerine and tropical fruit smell of pineapple and mango. Along with these smells comes a little bit of bready aroma as well as some notes of grapefruit and a light milkiness.
Taste – The taste begins with the sweet fruit tastes that were depicted in the nose. There is a big showing of tangerine and orange as well as some light pineapple and mango. From the start there is a decent showing of a grapefruit hop as well as lots of bready tastes. As the taste advances other hop flavors of a light herbal nature join in as well as a touch of earthiness. All the while some lactose tastes develop more toward the middle to the end of the profile. They start out light and get stronger as the flavor advances, melding well with the sweet fruit and bready tastes, and leaving one with a nice sweet and rich taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thicker and more chewy with a carbonation level that is average to slightly higher. For the mix of fruitiness, hop, and lactose the feel is good blending all the tastes rather well and making for an easy sipper.
Overall – A rather tasty brew with a nice blend of fruit, lactose, and hop.
