12oz canned 7-19-21, opened 12-17-21. Day One of 12 Beers of Krampus.
1 finger beige head, good retention and hangs in at a full and solid cap. Ample carbonation holding the head aloft.
Amber-brown and opaque. No lacing.
Initial nose is dark fruit and tobacco and a subtle smokiness.
Dark fruit - cherry, dried fruit - raisin with more tobacco and cedar box spice
Medium body, soft mouthfeel...malty and subtly sweet in the medium length finish.
Good to Very Good.

Poured from can into tulip, 1+ finger light tan head, so so retention and lacing. Dark Ruby/brown in the glass, little light passes thru. Big malt on the nose, roasted malt, raisin and prune. Taste delivers on the dried fruit, raisin, plum, prune on the front, malt shines in the middle with baked bread, slight roast and finishes with a mild bitterness. Body good for 6.5, but not too complex. This beer is begging to be drank with cheese, goat cheese or any other cheese of the mild variety. First avent beer, so off to a good start.
