Pours a cloudy yellow that looks almost like grapefruit juice. A small white head briefly tops the beer. Smells of Belgium yeast and not much whisky comprise the nose. First sip is disappointing as there is not much whisky present, what is there is more on the finish and not up front. I would like to try this alongside with regular Noblesse- a beer I know well as I am thinking the whiskey barrels did not do a whole bunch to add to this brew’s flavor. As it warms a tad more of the whisky notes appear but still way too subtle for my tastes. What save this beer is the base beer which is a damn good peppery Belgium Pale Ale. Thin bodied and just a tad under carbonated - still enjoyed.
