Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep caramel malt with light dry finish. Taste is also dominated by rich caramel taste with dry finish which provides great balance. Body is quite full for style with great carbonation. Very well brewed for style with good caramel malt base though with limited complexity.

500ml to pint. Cool label.
L- Cloudy dark orange-brown with pretty small bubble constantly rising. Aggressive pour creates monster head and with time leaves one finger of dirty-white head. Lacing is present but weak.
S- Light smell of hops, malt and green apple
T- Starts with a tiny bit of citrus. Hops. Overall roasted malts flavour. Not that much taste. Went to cook up some food, came back 35 min later and it still tasted the same at room temperature only with less carbonation.
M- Pleasant carbonation but a little watery and seltzer-like.
D- The power of the roasted malt flavor compared to the rest leaves me uncertain . It feels like a good session beer... but I'd just have to session it to make sure.
Still one of the better red ales I've had.

Tasted on April 26th, 2009.
Appearance: Dark amber, almost brownish color. Actually, I think it is even more brown than amber.
Smell: Malts!
Taste: I get some smoke?! malts... interesting. Actually, it is more like a malt and then I get some smokiness... The aftertaste is smoky.
Drinkability: Easy to drink. The beer is round with a medium body.
Very harmonious and thirst quenching! I like it! Not a bad beer.
