Pours a slightly clouded amber color with a huge, foamy, eggshell colored head.
Smells of old pipe, warm caramel and fresh mowed straw, together with baked whole grain bread.
Drinks unforseen soft with a gentle, well balanced effervescent spark during its finish, exhibiting a light bodied beer with a very nice mouthfeel.
Tastes of bread dough, lighter licorice and a well pronounced, toffee leaden malt backbone. Packs a mild and noble hoppiness, which adds a pleasant depth to the malts, together with a dry undertone. Finishes quite toffee forward, entangled into bread rind, topped off by a note of honey.
While this is quite tame regarding its taste development, this offers a great, velvet mouthfeel, creating an easy drinking Kräusen.
