Picked up a growler of this at the local 76 gas station. High turbidity, without a lot of effervescence, but enough; soily, chocolate-golden color. Awesome nose: lots of grapefruit juice and zest, lemon verbena, candied sage and sweet, wet tarragon, lemongrass, and palm-sugar. Good flavors as well, mostly paralleling the aromatics, but not as intensely with the herbs; instead, along with similar citric depth, there's a lot more palm-sugar and invert-sugar notes, creating a fairly sweet, fairly sticky, medium-plus thickness IPA that nonetheless still manages to be fairly refreshing. Certainly not mind-blowing, but quite competent.
