This traditional English Double Strong Ale reverberates with tones of roasted malt, tobacco, & a hint of chocolate to balance its high alcohol content. This beer was first brewed in 1997 to commemorate the Arizona Wildcat’s victory in the college basketball championships.

Came in a 10 oz pilsner due to its higher alcohol content (somewhere just above 10.0). It was amber with a very dense thick head. Aroma was predominantly from the malt (caramel and raisins) but with some hop notes. Reminds me of a strong ale. Balanced, with the alcohol well hidden in the malty sweetness and hops. Finishes nicely, still balanced. Think a lower alcohol version of Double Dog.

I was told this was brewed for March Madness. I didn't realize I would be the first review. I would have paid more attention to get the ABV.
Came with a very creamy off white head that showed decent retention. Dark and dull brown in color. Mosty hazy. I think 97% of the inside of the glass was covered in lacing.
Aroma was sticky sweet and of caramel, molasses and grains.
Flavor was quite nice. Definitely a touch sweet, but somehow not too much. Deep malt flavor and a bit like a Sugar Daddy. Molasses again. Roasted and caramel flavor lingers on the tongue.
Fairly thick body with some slight texture. More grain like then chalky. Just seemed thick.
One to enjoy slowly. Interesting and glad I tried it.
Not sure I'll seek out again.
